Giulio Cesare in Egitto

April 2014

The Austrian Stadttheater Klagenfurt recently staged a contemporary version of the opera "Giulio Cesare in Egitto" (Julius Caesar in Egypt) by Georg Friedrich Händel.

Director Michael Sturminger created an aesthetic scene of towering glass walls and lush fabric drapery, attracting the public’s attention like no other. The story is set in a loft, decorated with 100m of lightweight DekoSilk and 50m of Satinac Crunch by ShowTex. The transparency of the extra wide silk and the lighting effects of crunched Satinac completed the luxurious look Sturminger was aiming for!
