200 years of First Bank

Vienna, Austria
February 2020

Immersed in stylish decorative fabrics, the Musikverein concert hall turned sky blue to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the first Austrian savings bank. Spectacular curtain reveal, anyone?

Decorative blue event fabric

Fully in line with the bank's corporate identity, over 1500 sqm of blue DekoSilk drapes hid the Musikverein's majestic ceiling, triggering the crowd's curiosity on what was about to happen. By adding blue spotlights to the setup, the super-wide silk fabric was even more ready to amaze.

At the front of the concert hall, blue event fabrics hid the stage from the audience as well, creating even more mystery. A combination of semi-shiny DekoTaft panels and large strips of DekoSilk, installed in two layers, made sure nobody could see through the decorative textile wall.

Spectacular curtain reveal

And then came the moment of truth. With just one push of a button, no less than nine HiSpeed Reveal systems came into action, rolling up the full fabric ceiling in just a few seconds! Seeing the DekoSilk panels float stylishly through the air is such a spectacular effect.

After looking up, all heads turned to the front, where the curtains fell in a pre-programmed sequence, triggered by the unique Kabuki drop system. The surprising effect of revealing both the impressive ceiling and stage set off a massive applause that was perfect to welcome the orchestra, ready to perform. What a show!
