NOS | NOC*NSF Sports Gala

True to tradition, the annual NOS | NOC*NSF Sports Gala look back on the sporting events of the past year took place at the RAI Amsterdam. The Sportsman, Sportswoman, Sports Team, Coach, Paralympic Athlete and Young Talent of the year were praised and honoured during a spectacular award ceremony.
The entire show, set against the backdrop of an impressive Venetian curtain made of theatre red StretchVelours by ShowTex Netherlands, was broadcast live on television and on the internet. This allowed no less than 1.5 million viewers to see Max Verstappen and Sanne Wevers become Sportsman and Sportswoman of the year, turning the Sportgala into the most watched program of the evening.
StretchVelours is an extremely flexible and lightweight velvet with a unique width of 160 cm. It weighs less than the more classical velvets and its high polyester content ensures that the velvet doesn’t wrinkle. This guarantees stylish draping which is ideal for such a prestigious event of this stature.
