ShowTex is a worldwide leader in inventing, manufacturing and installing innovative flame retardant fabrics, tracks and motion control systems for achieving the creative vision of theatre, event and entertainment professionals.
Instead of a plain projection screen, Fiëstas opted for a more creative solution by choosing a big molding cloth surface made from AluShape Cretonne, giving the projections an edgy twist.
The show included performances inspired by the four seasons to which ShowTex South Africa supplied a multitude of fabrics.
Long strips of grey PolyStretch P5 stretch fabric catching the colorful lights of summer served as perfect blank canvasses during the opening act.
ShowTex South Africa attached three custom-made DekoTaft Printed banners to the bottom of the lira loops to mimic the flutter of leaves. This semi-shiny printed fabric drapes beautifully and has high-quality double-sided print effects.
Then winter came and brought with it a big Cyclo 200 cloth. The asymmetrically placed pick-up points sewn in the medium-weight cyclorama allowed this flame-retardant cotton cloth to be shaped into different forms during the show. The four different shapes moved with automatic fly bars.
The last act saw PolyStretch P5-covered flowers to introduce spring on stage. ShowTex South Africa created made-to-measure stretch fabric covers for the six steel-framed petals, revealing musicians and completing the seasonal theme. Its medium satin shine reflected the light beautifully during the performance!
