Stage-wide backdrop print for Beyoncé

An XL printed backdrop framed the stage during the live concert of Grammy-winning pop star Beyoncé at the Atlantis the Royal opening event. Outdoor projection screen goes cyclorama! 

Welding and printing screens to form giant cyclorama 

While FP White is widely known as a great front projection screen, it has much more to offer than just its obvious projection qualities. The fire-rated fabric can be printed and welded as well, which allowed the stunning 12 by 42 meter printed cyclorama to look virtually seamless. Beyoncé came, saw and conquered in front of the majestic drape. With minimal space available, a giant backdrop like this can be challenging to install though. But nothing the great rigging team couldn’t resolve! 

Securely tensioned outdoor backdrop  

As the exclusive concert took place in the open air, facing the ocean, the strength and durability of the stage fabric was key. Add to that the high-quality welding technique used and custom aluminium frame it was mounted in, and you end up with a perfect cyclorama to withstand the forces of nature. Hit song after hit song, the printed drape made the singer stand out, as well as the amazing water choreography by Lebanese dance troupe Mayyas. Luckily, “Queen B” chose a water-proof material for her backdrop. Happy to have been part of yet another successful show!
