San Sebastián Film Festival

A total of seven giant pillars out of white Spaghetti Event string curtains gracefully decorated the stage of the 66th San Sebastián International Film Festival. With stars like Ryan Gosling, Danny DeVito, Chris Hemsworth and Judi Dench walking down the red carpet, the gala was bound to be a success.

ADD MOVEMENT AND TEXTURE TO YOUR SET

The circular set pieces formed an impressive 3D backdrop for the widely televised award ceremony. All 8-metre-high columns added movement and texture to the set whenever an excited winner took the stage. With diameters ranging from 1 to 4 metres, the pillars were safely mounted on a circular truss structure. An excellent job by stage designer Cesc Calafell, demonstrating that an awesome set does not need to be complicated.
