For DESH, the latest contemporary production of choreographer and performer Akram Khan, ShowTex supplied an impressive handpainted loam-colored GobelinTulle backdrop and a custom printed Dancecarpet Duo creating an integrated set design.

DESH is the new full-length contemporary solo performance and the most personal work to date from celebrated choreographer and performer, Akram Khan. In DESH, meaning 'homeland' in Bengali, Khan returns to Bangladesh drawing multiple tales of a man trying to find his balance in an unstable world.

For this production, Khan teams up with Oscar-winning visual artist Tim Yip (Production Designer for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon), fellow Sadler’s Wells Associate Artist lighting designer Michael Hulls, writer and poet Karthika Nair and Olivier award-winning composer Jocelyn Pook.
