Hear, hear, immersive art lovers. At Floriade, where sustainability meets future-proof, rose M., and it's here to stay. A floating art pavilion in the middle of the water, that calls for a unique expo design. Blackout fabrics and custom rails did the trick.
Blackout textiles surround the venue
When your museum is entirely surrounded by water, you obviously want to show it off. Blackout fabrics with creative cutouts in all the right places offer the opportunity to enjoy the view, while absorbing ambient light where it’s necessary for your exhibition. By installing light-absorbing textiles alongside the windows, light can be brought in and blocked whenever wanted or needed.
Custom OrientTrack curtain rails
Quite a challenge, given the unique shape of the building, but nothing a custom-bent curtain track couldn’t tackle. OrientTrack is a versatile rail with a bendable profile that allows for made-to-measure curves. Smooth, reliable and silent! You can opt for both runners and gliders to hang your curtains. Using the special runners with acoustic brackets, the installers were able to mount not one, but two drapes on the same track. A light-absorbing fabric to keep out unwanted light, and elegant sheers for a decorative touch. Museum design done right!
