For the launch of The Palm Jebel Ali – The Coral Collection, Nakheel and Al Sayegh created an event where every visual element supported the story. Mirrors, projection screens, lightboxes and lightweight fabrics worked together to guide visitors through the space, from the entrance to the main presentation.
A mirrored entrance that draws people in
The experience begins inside a tunnel lined with 117 running metres of GiantMirror across the ceiling and both side walls. The lightweight reflective mirror foil creates the illusion of a much larger space, surrounding guests with reflections from every angle as they make their way through the entrance.
Integrated lightboxes break up the mirrored surfaces along the route. Printed on RP Off-White, they alternate between The Palm Jebel Ali and Nakheel branding, adding soft light without disturbing the clean look of the tunnel.
Panoramic projection takes centre stage
The tunnel leads to the main event space, where panoramic projection screens span up to 47 metres across the venue.
Made from FP High Contrast Grey, the screens display sharp, high-contrast images with deep blacks, even in the ambient light of a live launch event. Mounted on custom curved freestanding frames, they follow the shape of the venue, while Molton conceals the supporting structure to keep the installation clean from every angle.
FeatherSilk adds movement above the model
Suspended above the scale model of Palm Jebel Ali, long strips of FeatherSilk add a subtle sense of movement.
The lightweight fabric moves gently with the air, bringing a sense of calm to the installation and drawing attention to the miniature below. Its soft movement contrasts beautifully with the clean architectural lines of the space.
