Director Waut Koeken drew inspiration from early 20th Century Parisian literature, music and art to design the stage for “La Bohème”. This resulted in a stunning turn-of-the-century stage setting.
The stage was enclosed by three impressive walls, completely covered in sheets of paper made of ShowTex Droppaper. No less than 100 running metres of this flame-retardant event fabric were used to decorate the backdrop and side panels. The pieces of Droppaper were printed with poetry and loosely attached to the walls to give the whole scene extra structure and depth.

This non-woven, translucent material turned out to be the perfect choice for the grand finale. When the poetry was lit from behind, the stage was bathed in a magical glow!
