Lighting & set designers Arf & Yes asked ShowTex to create a one-of-a-kind hand-painted backdrop with black light paint for the promo tour of Belgian's garage rock band 'The Black Box Revelation'.
A medium-weight flame-retardant Cyclo 200 cotton measuring 6 m high by 10 m wide was the ideal surface to paint on. The illustration on the black cyclorama was painted in white, yellow and pink UV paint, giving the backdrop an instant authentic rock 'n' roll look. By using coloured black light paint, the artwork was visible during the entire show, but transformed completely when lit with UV light.
