ShowTex is a worldwide leader in inventing, manufacturing and installing innovative flame retardant fabrics, tracks and motion control systems for achieving the creative vision of theatre, event and entertainment professionals.
ShowTex played a huge role in the making of the dazzling Cartoon Network zone at IMG Worlds of Adventure. With the capacity to welcome more than 20,000 guests a day, it is the largest temperature controlled indoor theme park in the world, featuring roller coasters and thrill rides based on popular Cartoon Network characters, iconic Marvel Super Heroes and animatronic dinosaurs.
Inside the Cartoon Network Theatre, 75 motorized cubes with integrated ShowLED Hybrid LEDs decorate the ceiling. With 4 sides of the cubes printed on Backlit stretch and the bottom face being an RP fusion screen, they colourfully light up the whole venue when the RGB LEDs come into action. In addition to this, every corner of the venue holds a large printed Backlit Stretch pillar in Cube Frame, with integrated LEDs, mounted to the floor and ceiling.
All around the theatre, the walls are decorated with prints on Universal 250 fabric, mounted in Single Print Frame. Behind the audience, a custom-curved Single Print Frame holds a ShowLED Classic star drop that adds an extra sparkle to the venue.
On stage, there’s 3 versatile backdrop drapes to choose from: a Velours Goethe, a Filled Cloth and a ShowLED Animation Hybrid star cloth, all attached to wall-mounted ShowPipe tracks. In front of these backdrops, a GobelinTulle sharkstooth scrim attached to a HiSpeed Roll-Up system provides a flexible projection surface when needed.
To top it all off, the Venetian front of house drape is a stunning Velours Goethe velvet that gets pulled up by a 9m wide Venetia Truss Roller.
