You know those drapes that define a theatre? Or the scenic fabrics that create a mood on stage? That's what we do. Event decoration, dressing amusement parks, fabric reveal systems…? Yep, we’re known for that too.
As a global leader in inventing, developing and installing highly innovative, flame-retardant textiles and suspension systems, we spend our days tackling the most creative challenges in set building, stage and stand design. You can find ShowTex offices in Europe, the Middle East, North America, South Africa, Asia and Australia, but your home base, our head office is located in Burcht, near Antwerp.
A passion for communication? Check! You know how to get your message across in a way that excites internal and external stakeholders, both using copy and images. This means you know how to work with graphic software, because you love to execute your great idea completely independently.
Social media experience? Double-check! Creating new posts, sharing interesting content, employer branding, connecting with relevant accounts, etc. Your knowledge of LinkedIn is broad. And all the things you don't know, you just look them up, right?
But there is more: as the versatile link between sales and marketing, you are a pro at balancing several tasks at the same time. That’s because you’re born with strong organizing- and communication skills. A creative jack-of-all-trades that supports various departments with internal communication, content creation, social media and events.
Being the glue between the European sales team and your colleagues in the central marketing team, you will provide support in many different areas.
CONTENT CREATION
Typos and passive writing? Not on your watch. You are the internal journalist of ShowTex Belgium who is always on the lookout for the latest information, both internally and from customers. Thanks to your writing and layout skills, you transform that info into fascinating content in no time. But you also like to do Dutch translations, as you know how to find a creative challenge in every task.
Clearly, we don’t have to explain to you which design tool to use for which medium. Email banners, mailings, visuals for social media, but also advertisements, business cards, car stickers, posters,... You know how to create a fresh design that suits an existing brand image. Did you say you like photography as well? Interesting!
SOCIAL MEDIA
ShowTex is very active on social media and you will manage the local European channels. You connect with customers, get relevant information from your sales colleagues and continuously search for interesting posts. You know exactly what’s going on within our company and can’t wait to come up with new ideas to further grow our local social media channels.
COMMUNICATION & EVENTS
You are the voice of the central marketing team with your European colleagues, but also the go-to person for getting information from them back to marketing. Local and internal marketing initiatives? Those are yours! You actively pursue project photos and ensure the internal database of visuals is kept up to date. This way, you feed your colleagues with tools and info they can use to approach new clients. Managing the local stock of marketing material and designing new gadgets? Sounds like music to your ears!
As an international player, ShowTex sometimes takes part in European trade shows and we’re looking at you to manage them. Did you say you are structured? Ideal! Because you can also indulge in customer events and internal staff festivities. Party committee is your middle name!
TRAINING AND EXPERTISE
Since you completed your studies in languages, communication, marketing or similar, you can count on several years of work experience already. You know how to tackle a wide range of tasks and have strong communication skills. You speak and write Dutch and English flawlessly, but perhaps there are also other languages you could surprise us with?
PERSONALITY AND SKILLS
Every day, you juggle tools such as Canva, LinkedIn, MS Teams, Photoshop and… Google. Because when a problem needs solving, you actively go looking for a solution. Do you want to completely overwhelm us? The magic word is Hubspot.
A jack-of-all-trades like you is not afraid of short deadlines and a diverse mix of tasks. Your focus and tolerance for stress ensure you always remain precise and structured, with sufficient room for self-evaluation. As a fluent communicator, you stay in contact with the team, while working independently to get the job done.
A spare moment with nothing to do? You have plenty of refreshing ideas and initiatives to surprise us with!
