Dutch DJ Armin van Buuren spectacularly kicked off his latest world tour at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam!
At the start of the show, the DJ and his turntables were hidden behind a giant hemisphere, custom-made by ShowTex, to build up tension. The construction of fiber rods, covered in PolyStretch P8 stretch fabric, created a thrilling light show, as van Buuren’s shadow excited the audience, along with the images on the huge video screen behind it.
The show really burst out when the hemisphere was lifted up by the virtual hands on the screen, revealing the DJ and his pumping trance beats.
For this tour, the world star worked together with theater director Jos Thie, who previously buckled down to the Dutch version of the rock musical Tommy.
