For a Studio 54-inspired party at Mango’s headquarters, Lateral Thinking asked ShowTex to transform the company car park into a stylish event venue. With a combination of modular textile walls, reflective surfaces and luxurious velvet, the industrial space turned into a glamorous party setting.
Temporary walls shape the venue
More than 120 metres of AV Drop temporary walls shape the venue and bring structure to the event location. The modular aluminium framework allows for fast, tool-free assembly, making it a practical solution for freestanding backdrops, temporary structures and event partitioning.
Finished with custom-printed blackout fabric, the walls create smooth, seamless surfaces in line with the event’s visual identity.
Guests enter through a striking tunnel formed by a double-sided AV Drop structure clad in flame-retardant Molton. Framed by two symmetrical LED-lit arches, the entrance immediately sets the mood for the evening ahead.

Mirror foil amplifies light and atmosphere
Six circular GiantMirror panels are integrated into the printed fabric walls. Measuring 1.6 metres in diameter, the lightweight mirrors capture and reflect the lighting from every angle. They visually expands the venue while strengthening the retro disco atmosphere.
Unlike traditional mirrors, GiantMirror delivers the desired effect without introducing the weight and fragility of glass, making it particularly suitable for temporary event installations. Velvet softens the industrial surroundings
To complete the transformation, a total of 130 metres of inherently flame-retardant velvet is installed on a pipe and drape system to create a more intimate atmosphere throughout the concrete venue.
Hung with 50% fullness, the pleated velvet drapes help control light, soften the space and enhance the overall setting. Together with the fabric dividers and reflective elements, they complete the transformation from functional car park to elegant event venue.
From parking area to party destination
The project demonstrates how temporary walls, glassless mirrors and stage fabrics can completely change the character of an unconventional venue.
By combining structure, reflection and texture, Lateral Thinking and ShowTex turn an everyday parking facility into a vibrant event space that captures the glamour, energy and excitement of Studio 54.
