The Rope Drive system facilitates motion of stage curtains or set pieces on a stage track by means of electric motors.

Specifications:

  • Automatically disconnects the Rope Transmission from the Motor Unit when the motor is not powered.
  • The clutch of the Decoupler automatically engages when the motor starts moving.
  • When the motor stops, the clutch disengages after a small delay to ensure the curtain does not move any further.
  • A rope can be attached to the Master Carrier to replicate a Walk-Along setup, allowing the curtain to be easily moved by hand.
  • In case of a power outage, when the power is restored, the motor resumes normal operation without requiring a reset.
  • Available in a standard high speed and low torque setup. Other speed configurations are possible but not part of the standard offering.

2 Installation Specifications

The motor is driven by frequency drive, the RFI filters produce a leakage current. For the correct use of the device on a current-sensitive RCD, the use of an all-current sensitive earth leakage circuit breaker (Type B) compliant with EN 50178 / VDE 0160 is necessary.
