3.2 Necessary Tools

Allen Key - 6

Allen Key - 6

The allen key is only needed for securing the Base Plate Coupler to the Base Plate. After securing all Base Plate Couplers, the EasyDrape is completely toolless.

You will only need the allen key again if you wish to remove or relocate the Base Plate Coupler.

4 Assembly

4.1 Preparing the Base Plates

  1. Place the Base Plate Coupler on top of the Base Plate and fasten the screw. Repeat this for every Base Plate that will contain a Telescopic Upright or a Support.

It would be ideal for the Turn Button of the Base Plate Coupler to face the opposite direction of the slot in the Base Plate accept for when at the beginning of a setup, then let the Turn Button of the Base Plate Coupler face the slot to not obstruct the curtain when wrapping around.

It is possible to place the Base Plate Coupler in three different positions on the Base Plate, depending on your setup.

Position 1

Position 1 is the central and standard position for Telescopic Upright placement, offering the best stability in all directions. Whether you’re building a structure such as a wall or a corner, or you’re installing a Support, this position provides the most reliable and sturdy base to ensure the best performance for any setup.

Position 2

Position 2 is the front position used when building a setup close to a wall. It’s also a suitable option if you prefer to hide the Base Plates behind the curtain. However, it’s essential to note that in this position, the Telescopic Uprights are stable in three directions. To ensure stability it is recommended to add a support, create a corner or secure it towards the ceiling.

Position 3.1

Position 3.1 is one of the two corner positions used when building a setup directly close to a wall and in the corner of a room. It’s also an option if you prefer to hide the Base Plate behind the curtain. However, it’s important to note that in this position, the Telescopic Uprights are stable in only two directions. To ensure stability it is recommended to add a support, create a corner or secure it towards the ceiling.

Position 3.2

Position 3.2 is one of the two corner positions used when building a setup directly close to a wall and in the corner of a room. It’s also an option if you prefer to hide the Base Plate behind the curtain. However, it’s important to note that in this position, the Telescopic Uprights are stable in only two directions. To ensure stability it is recommended to add a support, create a corner or secure it towards the ceiling.

4.2 Placing the Uprights

  1. Loosen the Turn Button of the Base Plate Coupler until it fits a Telescopic Upright.

  2. Place the Telescopic Upright inside the Base Plate Coupler. Fasten the Turn Button and repeat this for all Telescopic Uprights.

It would be ideal for the Turn Button of the Telescopic Upright to face the same direction as the Turn Button on the Base Plate Coupler to not obstruct the curtain.

  3. Place all assembled Telescopic Uprights at the proper distance from one another depending on your setup and make sure they are all set on the minimum height.

4.3 Placing the Horizontal Drape Support

  1. Push and hold the red button of the first 4-Way and place the Swivel of the Horizontal without Turn Button in slot of the 4-Way. Release the red button to lock the Horizontal in place.

  2. Loosen the Turn Button of the Horizontal and extend it horizontally until it reaches the 4-Way of the other Telescopic Upright.

  3. Push and hold the red button on the second 4-Way and place the side of the Horizontal with Turn Button in the desired place. Release the red button to lock the Horizontal in place.

  4. Fasten the Turn Button to secure the Horizontal.

  5. Repeat these steps until all Horizontals are in place.

4.4 Placing the Supports

If Supports are needed will be determined by the use of your setup. They are mostly used on setups that are higher than 3 meters but could be needed for certain setups and placement conditions.

The two outer Uprights of a setup are not suitable to place supports on as they would obstruct the curtain when wrapping around the Upright.

  1. Place a Base Plate with a Base Plate Coupler behind a previously assembled Upright that needs support and loosen the Turn Button of the Base Plate Coupler

  2. Place the Support Connector in the Base Plate Coupler and fasten the Turn Button of the Base Plate Coupler.

  3. Open both clamps and place them against the Telescopic Upright. Fasten the wingnut until it is secured, but still movable.

  4. Place both clamps at the desired place on the Telescopic Upright to suit your setup and fasten the wingnuts completely.

  5. Repeat these steps until all Supports are placed at the necessary places.

4.5 Hanging the Drapes

  1. Start at the left/right side of your EasyDrape setup and hang your drape 30 cm from the end against the hook and loop strip of the Horizontal.

  2. Place the excess fabric on the back of that Horizontal to have a nice finish.

  3. When a drape ends, place the next drape on top of the first one with the hook and loop strip.

  4. At the end of your setup, place the excess fabric on the back of that Horizontal to have a nice finish.

  5. Loosen the Turn Button of the Telescopic Upright and push it partially upwards. Fasten the Turn Button to keep it in place while you do this for the other Telescopic Uprights.

When loosening the Turn Button of the Telescopic Uprights, it has no support to be held up. Be sure to hold the Telescopic Upright until the Turn Button is fastened to prevent harm or damage from them falling.

  6. Repeat this systematically for each Telescopic Upright until you have reached the desired height.

Your EasyDrape setup is now completely installed and ready to use!
