3 Troubleshooting

As with any system, it is possible for issues to arise in an automatic reveal system. If any problems occur, we recommend following these troubleshooting steps as an initial check to address the problem.

3.1 When the automatic reveal system is not working smoothly

  1. Ensure that the system is properly connected to the power supply.

  2. Check whether all cables are properly connected to the correct outlets.

  3. Check whether all cables are in a locked position. If not, insert the plug and twist to lock the cable.

  4. Inspect for any damaged or non-functional outlets, plugs or cables.

  5. Ensure the rolling direction of the motor is set correctly.

  6. Check whether the limit switches are set correctly and reset them if necessary.

  7. Check whether there aren’t any obstacles blocking the Reveal Fabric.

3.2 When the Reveal Fabric does not roll up correctly

  1. If the Reveal Fabric does not roll up entirely, reset the limit switches by following all steps in the Installation Manual.

  2. Check whether the Reveal Fabric is obstructed inside the Flightcase. If it is, carefully unwind the fabric, check the limit switches and reset them if necessary.

  3. When the Flightcase is positioned on its side for the reveal, verify if the jump switch of the Remote Control is oriented in the correct direction.

3.3 When the fabric is stuck inside the flightcase

  1. Unroll the fabric by operating the roller and continuously pulling the curtain by hand.

  2. Inspect the condition of the curtain and the inside of the flightcase for obstructions.

  3. Inspect the condition of the front opening. It needs to be smooth without damage or obstructions.

3.4 When the motor does not turn in either direction

  1. In the event of excessive usage, the motor may overheat. To safeguard against overheating, a thermal contact is included to automatically shut down the motor. If this occurs, allow the motor to cool down for a minimum of 30 minutes before attempting to use the automatic reveal system again.

3.5 When the direction of the roller does not match the direction on the remote

The motor works on a power supply of 230 VAC. Therefore, the phase of the power grid can differ from the way the remote is wired. This can result in the direction of the roller not matching the direction on the remote.

  1. If the AutoReveal 300 is a rental unit, add a temporary sticker on the remote and write the correct corresponding direction.

  2. If the AutoReveal 300 is a permanent installation, let a qualified technician change the phase connection in the remote.

3.6 When the automatic reveal system does not fit underneath a car

  1. Remove the lid of the Flightcase to decrease its height.

  2. Provide a car ramp to place underneath the rear tires or a small elevation to place the entire car on.

  3. Provide a small stage to place the car on and implement the automatic reveal system into the bottom of the stage.

  4. If none of the solutions above apply, contact your local sales to consult our technical support team.
