You can sew anything, even with your eyes closed (well maybe)? Then you are exactly the person we are looking for.

Experienced, passionate and a great leader, we have your next challenge all lined up for you. As the Coordinator of the Sewing Department you will ensure the operation and planning of the sewing workshop.

But wait! We are expanding. You will also help with recruitment, building your own team. You will therefore ensure a good distribution of work within the sewing department and a correct handling of administration.

SEWING & CONFECTION

• Accurately measuring, cutting, sewing, stitching and finishing of fabrics.
• Qualified to create and revise patterns for cutting and sewing.
• Control and follow up the sampling, cutting, sewing, finishing and quality control.
• Operate the various machines that include Single needle, serge, overlock, blind hem and various industrial sewing machines.
• Performing the work according to the ShowTex quality standards.
• Strictly following the instructions on the drawing.
• Qualitative execution of the work at a good pace.
• Handling of heavy-weight fabrics.
• Packing of finished items and prepare for shipping.

PLANNING & COMMUNICATION

• Review & plan the weekly orders.
• Scheduling team members accordingly.
• Plan and organize the requested supplies, fabrics and machines.
• Plan and organize confection orders from other ShowTex offices.
• Facilitate communication between Sewing Department ,other departments and other ShowTex Offices.
• Plan and follow up the maintenance of Garments Machines, tools, and other equipment.
• Attend the weekly operations meeting, company meetings and work sessions.
• Create material budgets.

STAFF MANAGEMENT

• Supervise, guide, control and motivate the workers.
• Interview, hire, train and supervise (new) team members.
• Hire and manage temporary staff.
• Quality control working methods.
• Develop training programs.
• Create labor budgets.
• Annual appraisal.

CURIOUS HOW WE SEE YOU?

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years (industrial) sewing experience is required.
• Experience in coordinating a sewing department is a plus.
• Must have high attention to detail and craftsmanship, with clean stitching, consistent margins and SPI (Stitch Per Inch) on all constructions.
• Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Eager to learn and increase skills and quality of work.
• Works well under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Professionalism in attitude, appearance, and approach.
• Must have a positive attitude and work well with others.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work cross functionally.
• Ability to prioritize workload and multi-task.
• Good understanding of all Microsoft Office programs.
• Management of in house inbound and outbound fulfillment operations and personnel.
• Utilize key metrics to improve, manage and maintain an efficient workflow of product, raw materials and staffing demands.
• Directly responsible for ensuring safety levels constantly exceed the industry standard.
