U2 on tour

For the much discussed 360° U2 tour ShowTex provided 55 covers in grey Polystretch P5 decoration fabric to wrap Barco LEDs. The revolutionary spider- or claw shaped stage is a masterpiece by Willie Williams and Mark Fisher, who have been designing for U2 for years. With assistance from Chuck Hoberman and Barco their idea of a moving 360° video screen became reality. Various Belgian companies cooperated on this unique realization: StageCo settled for the stage and its claw structure and WiCreation developed a system to unfold the gigantic screen rented at XL Video.
