Symphoca in Bozar
HiSpeed Roll up on stage as giant swing
Eun-me Ahn is widely known in Korea, New York, and Europe. Her movement language recalls Japanese butoh. In her recent work, Symphoca (Symphonic arts) Princess Bari, performed at Bozar’s Henry Le Boeuf Hall on February 28, she tells the story of a character from a famous shamanistic folk tale. An erotic, funny, and colourful performance by 21 dancers, singers, and musicians. For the first time ever, ShowTex’s High Speed Roll-Up featured as a giant swing onstage. The inventive design combined a remarkable visual effect with an ingenious technical element that lifted the dancers into the air.
