Sci-fi Classic reinvented as stage spectacle kicks of world tour in London with the help of ShowTex’s installation team.

A musical journey into the most iconic sci-fi films of the past 50 years stormed London's Millennium Dome on April 10 and 11 with the premiere of the two-hour symphonic show set to scenes from the six films before heading out for a European tour. Fans have waited a long time for this project put together by director George Lucas' company Lucasfilm and composer John Williams with American Production house All Access rocking the stage and set design. All Access was looking for an instant onstage wow effect and ShowTex’s high speed roll up was the perfect solution to ensure that the curtains disappeared in the blink of an eye. The ShowTex team was on hand to install the 22 meter long high speed roll up system used for the stage’s 3 immense silk triangles (20 x 6 meters) and provide expert technical support during repetitions at Elstree Studios. This project’s still in premier so the top secret pictures haven’t been released yet. We can’t wait!
