Three boats, each covered in 18 meters of ShowTex dimensional fabric Polystretch P5 in red, white, and blue, formed part of the exuberant fireworks display on water during the opening ceremony of The Hermitage in Amsterdam. The boats sailed in formation of the Dutch and Russian flags to celebrate the historical importance of the Hermitage in St. Petersburg and the cooperation between Russia and the Netherlands for the Amsterdam Hermitage. Queen Beatrix from the Netherlands and Russian president Medvedev along with thousands of onlookers were on hand for this exciting public event.
