The front of the building was decorated with a curtain wall in theatre red Puccini Velours consisting of 7 sections, each 9.7 m high: 5 sections are 5.5 m wide and 2 are 7 m wide. Horizontal tubes were mounted on the columns of the theatre: at the bottom, at 2.2 m, at 5.9 m, and at the top. The tubes span the entire width, from left to right column. The curtain was fastened behind at these 4 heights by means of 4 pipe pockets. The result was a tautly stretched front cloth that could be opened to a limited height.
