Theater gauze, projection screens, and stage skirting from ShowTex Netherlands dazzled onstage as Dutch violinist, conductor and composer Andre Rieu enchanted the audience on his home town square Vrijthof in Maastricht this past summer. The stage design, installed by Rentall and ShowTex, made use of ShowTex Gobelin Tulle square weave netting measuring 22 x 4 meters that transformed the truss mounted cream colored rear projection screen of the same size into a black backdrop and made the LED screen pixels disappear at just the right moment. When combined with the LED screen the stage gauze and retro projecting screen created beautiful light effects. The scene was finished off by 24 meters of black Molton masking fabric as a frame.
