The prestigious Royal Opera of Wallonia reopened its doors after extensive renovations. ShowTex custom manufactured all new velvet stage drapes, main house curtains, and masking drapes for the refurbished opera house in Liège.
The opera’s new grand drape is a swag curtain (also known as an Italian or Imperial curtain) constructed from inherently flame retardant Velours Paris CS and Velours Helena CS. ShowTex also manufactured the theatre’s light masking borders, legs and backdrops.
Led by city architect Marie Pirlet, the project has enabled The Royal Opera of Wallonia to face the future as the country’s most modern opera house.
