ShowTex constructed 7 extra large printed museum display banners for the exhibition Coloured Past, Family at war on show at St. Peter's Abbey Arts Centre in Ghent.
The exhibition tells the story of the Second World War through the testimonies of ordinary individuals and their daily lives in extraordinary times. BannerDrape Print fabric, an inherently flame retardant textile, was chosen for its transparency level and flexibility. The high quality extra large print canvases were mounted on custom curved aluminum profiles in half circles of 4m diameter and served as a backdrop to the exhibition displays.
