Battle of Waterloo

Waterloo, Belgium
June 2015

To commemorate the 200th anniversary of Napoleon’s defeat at the Battle of Waterloo, two large re-enactments were organized to relive one of the greatest moments of recent European history. No less than 5,000 re-enactors, 300 horses and 100 cannons took part in actions.

European royals came together for the commemoration ceremony at Waterloo and the event was opened with a poetic interpretation of the Battle, created by Luc Petit. 4 actors rolled out 4 flags in DekoTaft by ShowTex down the Lion Hill of Waterloo. The different colors represent the battling countries and their respective armies who defeated Napoleon during the historic Battle of Waterloo.

The award-winning event ended with a spectacular show featuring 3D projections on white StretchTulle by ShowTex and magnificent fireworks.
